today we're removing the stereo for May

2008 Mazda cx-9 we already have a removal videos on the website for the DVD player that's in the roof of the vehicle but today we have this in for the CD changer not working what we're gonna do first is set the parking brake place the key in the ignition and FIF to a lower gear because we're gonna get to this here in a little bit now we're going to start with a on the left side of the dash prying it along into the side panel and trying all the way up along the edge and removing this side panel there are several Clips along the edge here that will clip in they all release with pry pressure that will remove the panel from the left side and we're gonna go over to the right side as well pry this panel back just a little bit a little bit of finger pressure in there pry and work up the edge of the panel as well this panel will come out same clips they all release with pride pressure we have a full library removal guides on our website at car stereo help calm I'm gonna start at the back edge of the panel that goes around the gearshift and pry this up I'm just gonna pull up on both sides and come back over the

gearshift you're gonna take this and twist the bulb on the on the side here this is a twist release bulb then we're gonna remove the panel there are several Clips here as well and then the bulb goes back into the opening but this is also gonna pull the piece out that goes down into the bottom of the pocket that's up in the front here this is gonna be the new way with this as well next we're gonna remove one screw we can tell already that this this radio has been out of the dash before because this should be one screw down here below the cigarette lighter but that's missing on this one so that's already been removed next we're gonna pry and pull back on the panel here on the design and that will pop right out try that again but you pry on pull on the sides and it'll pull the panel right down now we have the cigarette lighter here as well and that's got a connector on it and this connector here has a little trigger on it that you push this trigger down it releases the lock and allows it to release it looks like we have one screw here on the top one screw on the top on the left here and this is again we can say this has been out of the dash

before because we're missing one here on the right next we're gonna start with a prying the sides of the panel back I'm gonna work away at both sides at the same time and as we get to the top we're gonna pull not pry up at the top of pride towards the back of the vehicle pull towards the back of the vehicle this will release the whole panel up over the top here now we're gonna start with there we go and pulling the panel back from the dash now this is going to give us several connectors one for the emergency flashers and three down here at the AC controls we're gonna push these triggers down they all release on their own and next we're gonna move up to the one for the the top here in the center for the emergency flasher and there's a trigger on the side of that when we're gonna try and get this set the right angle to get a better grip on that trigger on that pry down pressure and pull that remove so now we're gonna remove this panel and put it to the side but all three of these connectors at the bottom again they're all different sizes you don't have to mark where they go or they're all keyed differently but again the trigger is on the top you push this

trigger down it will release same with the second connector and the third connector as well when they go and go back in they will snap back in place we also have the connector that was for the emergency flashers here has a trigger here as well and if you push that trigger down that will release the connector as well now we also have the tweeter at the center of the dash here if this is bad you want to replace that there are obviously two screws that we this and they'll come up and the connectors right here as well so you can remove that speaker if you having problems with it now we're gonna get back to the radio and we have here on the right we have all the remaining screws here on the right that are supposed to be here no missing screws here I'm gonna move the two screws on the right again a full library removal guides at car stereo help calm and we also have repair rates for these stereos as well and then remove the two screws on the left as well those happened to be here and now we're gonna grasp the bottom the top of the radio and pull that from the - this is going to give access pull it forward to give access to

all the connectors here on the back I'm gonna start with the antenna that was just a pry or and then the first connector and then the connectors on the opposite side as well again these connectors the antenna lead it's you just grab the black base here and pull this is just a pressure v no lock on it and then these connectors as for the rest we've seen so far have the same type of trigger on the back and the main one for the car stereo as well as it has the trigger here as well that needs to be pushed down that will release this is how you remove the stereo from a 2008 Mazda cx-9 hope this videos been helpful thank you for watching and see our web-site car stereo help comm for more help thank you today we're removing the stereo for May 2008 Mazda cx-9 we already have a removal videos on the website for the DVD player that's in the roof of the vehicle but today we have this in for the CD change you're not working what we're gonna do first is set the parking brake place the key in the ignition and fit to a lower gear because we're gonna get to this here in a little bit now we're going to start
